Setting up your preferred currency

Modified on Mon, 10 Aug, 2020 at 4:32 PM

When looking at company data, financial figures are generally displayed in local currency, i.e. either the currency used in the financial report for fundamentals, or the currency in which the most liquid stock is traded for quotes (in most cases both currencies are the same).

When you need to compare companies with different local currencies, it is easier to have all numbers in the same currency to make the comparison easier. This is why in most views a menu is provided to allow you to switch from the local currency to another currency.

Two alternative currencies are provided: USD and the so-called user currency (by default set to EUR). You can set the user currency to your preferred currency by changing the corresponding setting in My Settings under My Account.

Note that you can also force some of the views to use by default your preferred currency by checking the Make this my default currency box.
