Why some GPRV ratios are different from the same ratios in Fundamentals?

Modified on Mon, 10 Aug, 2020 at 4:33 PM

Financial ratios for a company are available in different views:

  • Ratios view under Company Data;
  • Financial Ratios views under Comparable Analysis;
  • GPRV;
  • My View.

A given ratio should always have the same value, whichever the view.

However, some GPRV ratios have different underlying formulas, and therefore cannot be directly compared with other similar ratios. For example, a growth rate generally refers to the percentage change of a financial item from a fiscal year to the next one. For GPRV, historical growth is calculated as a weighted average over 5 years.

In case of doubt, you can click the ratio figure to open the formula viewer and check the calculation formula.
