How do I narrow down the universe of companies?

In the Screener interface, you can narrow down the universe of companies using various filters. To select your universe criteria, click the Universe tab in the left panel.

Universe criteria options

• Location: filter by region or country of incorporation.
• Market Place: filter by stock market (primary listing only).
• Index: filter by index membership.
• My Lists: filter by personal lists.
• Exclude inactive companies: option checked by default to prevent inactive/delisted companies to appear in the search results.
• Only companies with estimates: option to be checked to exclude companies without earnings estimates.
• Only companies with GPRV Analysis: option to be checked to exclude companies without GPRV analysis.

How criteria are applied?

Selected universe criteria are immediately applied in the Screen Results panel.

The number of company matches is instantly shown for each filter. If no universe criteria are defined, the search is run on the entire universe of active companies.
