Why some predefined peer groups have low comparability scores?

Modified on Mon, 10 Aug, 2020 at 4:33 PM

Predefined lists of comparable companies are generated using the Peer Tracker tool that compares the industry sector footprint of all companies. By definition, a company with a pretty unique set of business activities has a sector footprint – i.e. all industry sectors in which the company appears across all classifications – different from those of its closest competitors. In that case, it is not possible to find for that company any peers with high comparability scores.
