N/A is displayed for the EV when it is not available. To be able to calculate the EV for a company, all required components of the calculation must be available. One of those components is the market cap, therefore a missing market cap entails a missing EV.
Furthermore, EV cannot be calculated for companies without net debt, such as banks or insurance firms.
