Index performance

Market indices are useful for measuring the performance of a stock market, as well as benchmarking the performance of a stock own portfolio.

Where do I find it?

Index performance is available in the Index Performance view (Sectors interface).

What do I need to know?

For price indices, performance calculations only consider price movements of the securities that make up the index. For total return indices, performance calculations assume that all cash distributions, such as dividends, are reinvested back into the index.
